Family time!

I haven't been in much of a blogging mood lately. A lot has happened the past couple weeks, but things are finally starting to get back on track.

I truly realized how blessed I am to be able to find and marry my best friend! Scott is incredible and I couldn't imagine my life with out him! No matter what he is always by my side and can always put a smile on my face.
Robin is changing more and more every day. It's hard to believe she is 17! This past year has just flown by. She is such an incredible young lady and I am so proud of all that she does. She will do anything for anyone in a heart beat. She truly has a heart to serve and she will do amazing things!
Austin is properly the most changed. I couldn't love that little boy more if he were my own. He has a huge heart and he is not one to ever hide his love for God. I love his enthusiasm for worshiping.
Julie melts my heart with some of the most sweetest things she says. I am proud of the little lady she is turning into. She has been asking and wanting to learn so much more about God and the Bible and baptism. It is so exciting to see it spark her interest and knowledge to learn more.

All in all I am blessed to have such amazing kids and super cool husband! Tomorrow we are heading out for a nice relaxing day of family fun! Can't wait to spend the whole day soaking up my family!

Moving

Well our house is now up for sale. The first open house is set for this Sunday. We were asked to take down all of our pictures and anyone that knows me knows I am a picture freak! Needless to say my house is bare and it doesn't feel very homey!! Scott and I are starting house hunting tomorrow. We have a couple that we are going to look at tomorrow evening. Wish us luck!

They really are listening!!!

Just wanted to share something pretty cool that happened this evening!

Tonight at the small group's we discussed John's sermon from Sunday (which was great by the way!) Baptism!
Julie came with us this evening and she was coloring and texting and doing her own thing.... what I didn't know what was that she was also listening to the discussion we were all having. When we left Julie started asking me all kinds of questions about Jesus and baptism. It was so cool to hear the things coming out of her mouth! She told me that she is here to live for Jesus and she HAS to make sure that people know how important He is. It brought tears to my eyes to see a 6 year old get it!

On another note:

Thanks to Jenn for a wonderful dinner and time to talk! Thanks to all of you for the prayers! We are so blessed to have each and everyone of you in our lives! YOU GUYS ROCK!

Tips on spending/saving money

Just want to know some of your thoughts and what has helped you to safe money other than the obvious of not eating out. Do you have any baking tips when you are buying the same thing over and over?

I am not a fan of chicken, but Robin's boyfriend cooked some chicken the other day and it was the best I have ever had. I don't remember what he used to make it, but he is going grocery shopping with me in a few lol.

Proud of my boy!!!

Yesterday we received some devastating news. Austin was hit the hardest, but instead of reflecting on his hurt negatively he turned it into something positive. He took that time that he was hurting the most to spend some time with God. I have never seen him do that before and it just blew me away. God is working on him in a mighty big way.

Edited to add that I have been blessed with such an awesome Church Family. I emailed Ray last night and I don't even think it was ten minutes before him and Melissa were here knocking on my door. I can not say thank you enough or tell you how much my spirits were lifted by just sitting, and talking with you both. Thank you for all you do for the my family! I love you guys!!!

Small Group at the Brocks!

Small groups at the Brock's rocked! On the way home we started talking about the evening and what we got out of it. I was impressed with every one's answer but most of all, Austin. He talked about how he realized how much he puts so many other things before God such as playing with his friends or skipping Church or whatever it may be. He said that it made him realize how that could be time spent praying and reading God's word. Robin really enjoyed the conversation about putting things before Jesus. Steve said that he will remember it as coming soon hehe. Anyway it was a great night!

What an amazing day! Church was just plain awesome! I loved every second of it. Some of the things that I love the most other than our awesome band and Ray's message were the fact that Ray put complete trust into the staff, the way they put the two services together, how awesome the sanctuary looked, how full second service was, the smile on all those children's faces. I can not forget how cool it was to hear everyone cheering on the new beginning and the excitement in their voices. I was amazed at how everyone started singing Sweetly Broken at the end of service- it blew me away. But most of all, I felt God's presence stronger than ever. Ray brought an awesome message. We brought Steve with us today and he really enjoyed the service and the music. I can not wait to see what God has in store for our Church and community!

Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for our sins. Thank you for taking away all of our sins and giving us the chance to have eternal life. Thank you for our Church and our Church family and allowing us to minister in your kingdom. Thank you for such an amazing day that allows us to celebrate all that you have given us.

Words of Matthew West- Couldn't be said any better!

"For God so loved the world, He gave His only Son..."

And this is the reason we recognize Good Friday. Because the greatest gift in the history of mankind was given to us by our creator. Our Father in Heaven sent his one and only son to earth to bear the sin of the world on a cross. He died for you, and for me.

"That whosoever should believe in Him should not perish..."This is that is asked of us in return. BELIEVE. It's that simple. There are no other rules, or qualifications. The sacrifice Christ made on the cross was not reserved only for the wealthy, or the higher class. And it doesn't come with any strings attached. Simply BELIEVE God loves you this much, and you will not die.

"But have eternal life."

And the greatest sacrifice ever made, brings the most wonderful promise ever made. The promise that our lives on this earth are only a glimpse in the eye of eternity. Our time on earth will come and go before we know it, but this world is not our final destination. These words of John 3:16 are the promise to those who BELIEVE that eternal life with with our Savior in Heaven is waiting.

Don't forget the gift you've been given on Good Friday.

More Praises!

As many of you know, I have been struggling with my new team. Not necessarily the people on the team, or the amount of work but rather the lack there of. Today, I learned I will be going back to the team I have been working with for the past four months! I really enjoyed this team, the customers, and the people I get to work with.

The minute after I moved all of my stuff back over to my old/new team, I received a phone call. I have posted blogs on this and our small group has been praying. My friend Bethany was in stage 3 cancer. Today she is cancer free! How truly awesome is our God! She is a Christian and a true believer that there isn't anything that our God can't do, now she is living proof! She was beyond excited and over joyed that her prayers have been answered.

Don't forget to wish Missy a very happy birthday tomorrow! And I promise it's not an April fools joke : )
