Trick or Treat

Tonight was trick or treat night aka begger's night. Patty, Jeremy and Andrew and a couple of their friends came down and we started off the evening at the nursing home. After ward we split up and Scott and I took Julie to the "Haunted House" at the Blanchester FOE. Then we went to the Police Station. They do a lot of cool things there that the kids really enjoy such as a "Haunted Maze", Family Fun Maze, crafts, games, and of course candy. They also offer drinks and popcorn. As we were finding our selves getting lost in the Haunted Maze we ran into Jeremy and Andrew. They kids had a blast in the fun maze and Julie even talked Andrew into going back into the Haunted Maze. I also ran into my best friend from high school Sarah and her family. I miss that girl. After trick or treat was over Julie and I dropped daddy off at home to finish some work, Julie and I went to Papa's for our yearly tradition. My dad always gets way to much candy and he doesn't get a whole lot of kids. He makes a big bag up for all the kids. (Even Abby got one) We got a little surprise when we got there. We found little miss Abby there. She was not in a good mood either, but with the love of her Aunt Di, she quickly became her happy self : )

This is my best friend Sarah and her beautiful family. This picture was taken in April, the kids are so much bigger now!!!!

wow

So during my day off yesterday which for the most part was enjoyable. With the exclusion of four very nasty emails I received from my boss. The last one is what got to me. When I moved to level 2 it came with watching on call that one of the other dispatchers would do once a month. I was told I would get $10 for each and everything I had to respond to. I received an email yesterday pretty much saying that was never agreed on and since it was already submitted it would come out of my next check.,.,....

I think I might be looking for another job. I am praying I will make it at least until after Christmas so I can take my vacation and then asked to be switched to a different team.

We got our car back yesterday. The best part is that it did not cost NO WHERE near what I thought it was going to be. Praise GOD!!!!!

I have the day off today, Scott and I have some errands to run today and things to take care of. We are currently at Scott's office submitting his business. Scott is finally on his own and his business is taking off. I am so proud of his dedication and determination.

False Alarm?

Our car will not be ready until tomorrow, but it is still really good news! I already miss my 7-4 hours ; )

BTW the reason I get three whole weeks off is because I saved up my two week vacation to take at Christmas. We already have Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years off. My team has a bonus going where you get one free day off a month and since my vacation is split in December and January I am using them both ; )

Good News!!

Scott's cousin was able to get our car fixed today! I can go back to my normal hours. (7-4). Scott is currently on his way to pick it up. Wow, I never realized how much I took having a car for granted.

The other good news is I put in for my vacation today. 3 weeks!!! I am so excited. It is very much needed. I will be off from December 22 and will come back on the 9Th of January. Not to much longer!!

Thank you all for the prayers and the helping hands. These past few weeks have been rough, but God never fails us.

Missy and Trish you guys are awesome.

Just when you think things couldnt get any worse.....

One of your "team mates" walks out on you.

Yup that is how I ended my week. Thank God Sacha is back on Monday. Thank God even more that my vacation is only a month away.

Exhausted

Wow I can not wait for this week to be over. My boss is on vacation this week, so I am doing her job as well as mine. The worse part is that we are busier than we have been in weeks. I am suppose to track an average of 3-4 dispatches, the last two days it was 10 and tomorrow is 8. My day doesn't end at 4pm either. When I get home I am managing the second shift person and trying to deal with a sick child at the same time. By the time she gets back from vacation, I may end up tacking one!!!

One thing I hate doing is managing people. I am just glad this is only for a week!

Our Center Point Small Group Sign

When Scott and I got home from work today we got a note say " Please call Zoning office (phone number) concerning start of Church. This has to due with the sign in our yard, our small group sign. Someone has complained and reported that we are starting a Church. Of course by the time I get home from work, their office is closed and there is nothing I can do.
The devil is trying, but he will NOT win! Our CP sign will NOT be moved and our Small Groups will NOT stop, and MOST of all we will NOT stop showing the love of Jesus!

On another note Scott and I stopped by Nichole's tonight to visit Abby and well Nichole of course. We got a surprise ourselves. Julie was there with Papa. Nichole, Abby, Julie, and I went for a walk tonight. We decided we are going to start walking every night.

5 years

5 years ago today, I started dating the man I would someday call my husband. It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but we sure have been through A LOT together.

Here is a picture of us 5 years ago. We look like babies : )

Scott

I know times are tough, but with God we can get through anything. Look at all we have been through and came out stronger in the end. 5 years ago today you stole my heart, and I want you to know that today you still have it. I love you forever.

Scary

Robin started driving school tonight! Not much longer till we have a teenage driver in our house.

A new day

Yesterday just wasn't a good day for me. I have a lot of stuff going on in my life and I honestly just don't know how to handle it.

Today is a new day and I am going to make the best out of it!

We had a great group last night! We watched Facing the Giants again and then discussed it afterwards. Missy, Trish, and Terri have never seen it and I will never get sick of watching it. I get more and more out of it each time I watch it.

Update on Robin

Robin went to the Doctor yesterday and she has strep throat. She is on meds, but still feeling awful. They told her if it isn't gone in four days it could be Mono. She has had to call off work twice and that is more painful for her than being sick lol.

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my 3rd birthday. Three years ago today, I was baptized. One of the best days of my life. My husband likes to joke that this birthday means more to me than my real birthday because its a younger age. Truth is my life changed in so many ways three years ago today.

Our Small Group

We had a great group tonight! Everyone was so talkative, and excited to get the group started. Our group came up with tons of ideas, and activities to plan. Scott got out his guitar and everyone sang their hearts out. Yup my neighbors are probably wishing we would move. I am excited to see how God works in this group!

Focus

I must admit I do not understand why things happen the way they do, but they always turn out. I don't always like it, I don't always agree, I just have to accept it and pray that I will learn from it.

With that said, my week hasn't been that bad. Yesterday started out as a typical Monday, extremely tired from the weekend events, but well worth it. With my new hours, I was able to make another one of Austin's football games. He did AWESOME! He played the majority of the game and was all over that ball! I was on call unfortunately and missed a lot of the game, which I was getting pretty aggravated about. The good news is I am not on call the rest of the week. I switched weeks and will be on call the following week. Which frees up my weekend for Andrews game Saturday.

Today started out just awful. My alarm didn't go off, so I was late for work. (Surprisingly once I got into the office it got better.) I had completely forgotten we had a customer coming to visit today and I wore Capri's and a button down shirt.... OOPS. He wore jeans and a T-shirt so once I seen him, I didn't feel to bad. Sacha took us all out to lunch at Penn station today.. Yummy I love their sandwiches! I think James (customer) liked this better, last time he was here we went to Skyline and he didn't seem to be a big fan. The conversation was flowing at lunch, I was pretty shocked my some of the stories I was hearing being told to the customer and from the customer.

Tomorrow is our first small group meeting since the split. I am excited to see how things will play out. I can not wait to get it started!

Scott's new career path is finally taking off. He already has 2-3 people and he hasn't even been in the field yet! I know that Scott will do awesome when hes out there, but I have to admit times have been tough. I know that we are going to be okay, I don't seem to stress as much as I use to. Things always work out. God is always watching over us. HE is always faithful. I don't even know where I would be with out HIM in my life.

Wow what a Sunday!

I have always said that we have such a wonderful and giving group. We still do! Scott and I are incredibly blessed to have such an awesome group. Scott posted in his blog that we were suppose to have seen Fireproof with Trish and Missy a few weeks ago. Today Missy and Trish completely surprised us with a gift card to see it, not only did they give us the gift card, they also gave us a night to our selves (postponed home group until Wed). They were also making the arrangements to take Robin to youth group. Trish and Missy, THANK YOU! We love you and appreciate you all so much for the night out!

As Scott said, the movie was incredible. GO WATCH IT!!!!!! It gives you a completely different outlook to marriage. I will warn you, it is a tear jerker. Scott and I have grown so much together, but even still we both seen a lot of ourselves in the movie.

When we were getting ready to leave, I heard a group of people talking about how there were going to discuss the movie at the next meeting, because some weren't able to come. I thought it was neat to see a small group take their meeting to the movies when our small group took us.......

Ray delivered an awesome and powerful message today. One of the hesitations for not wanting to go to the movies tonight was because it is a great group discussion. So we all decided not to cancel our group completely, just to postpone til Wednesday. I can not wait to meet up with everybody.
I had so much fun with the girls today! Scott and I took Julie to the pumpkin farm, she had so much fun getting her pictures taken a million times and seeing the animals. The horse even came close enough for her to pet it. We ran into the Simpson's and Taylor's while we were there. Julie said she was trying to through the boys in jail lol. After the farm we came home to cook dinner and pick up Robin. Julie went to Papa's for the night. Scott, Robin, Ashton and I went to Kings Islands fear fest. We all had a great time! As soon as we walk in we run into Kait! We weren't expecting to see her there! Robin nearly knocked her down running literally into her arms lol. We also met up with my cousin and her boyfriend. OK so the haunted things really weren't that scary but they still got me a few times. I wish Austin would have been with us today, but I am glad I got some time with my girls. With Robin working now after school I don't get to see her much. Well I need to be getting into bed, so I can get up for Church in the morning.

My week/current news

I started my new hours at work this week and my new "responsibilities". I am now working 7-4. I like the hours a lot better, being home with the kids at night is great! I am still getting use to the early hours and the change in traffic on 275. It use to take me up to an hour and half to drive to work, now it only takes 45 minutes. I end up getting to the office at 6:30. Which is great no one else comes in until 8:30-9 on my team so it gives me time to catch up on things. It is still hard to get out of the office by 4:00pm because of things coming in late.

I didn't work yesterday, I took a sick day because Scott and I had some things we needed to take care of. The day started out awful, but with the help of a kind stranger it didn't end up so bad. We stopped by to see Austin last night and to see if we can have him this weekend. He wasn't allowed to come with us. We had a whole weekend planned of family time, and he isn't able to be apart of it. It stinks! Scott, Julie, Robin and I went to the homecoming parade in town last night. I think Blan has more baseball players than football because the candy was flying!!!

While I wasn't at work last night, one of the girls got fired. To be honest I am glad I wasn't there for that, firing or watching someone be fired is not my strong point. I feel awful for the girl, she has a family and her husband is not currently working. I hope things turn out okay for her.

I need to jump in the shower, we are headed out to the farm and then to KI for some mom, dad, and Julie fun. We will be swapping kids later for fear fest. I hope everyone had a great week. I can't wait for tomorrow. I love the series we are in!

Edited to add:

We got Julie's intern this week. She is doing great, above average.... I am so proud of my girl! 7 days into school her teacher sent home a note saying that because of her age, she doesn't think Julie will do well. Julie is a year younger than most of her class. Good Job Julie, we love you!!!!

Edited again to add:

We got Robin's intern today....... She is doing..........AWESOME!!!!!!!!! All A's except one its a B. Such a big improvement from last year! We love you Rob and are so very proud of you!! Keep it up girl, you are on fire in all areas of your life!!!
